She's Back - Paula White Returns to Lead Ailing Megachurch

The Christian Post reports that "Pastor" Paula White is back in the pulpit... Is this the newest rage? Divorcing your spouse and months later preaching again? We also see that Todd Bentley will be back on the scene again too after his quick divorce and new marriage with the intern he had the affair with. What is even more astounding is that many church goers believe this to be acceptable now days. Not to long ago in the late 1980's this would be unheard of and considered unacceptable in light of the Bible. Have we deviated so far from biblical doctrine that anything is now acceptable in our churches? My goodness...

Charismatic preacher Paula White is stepping in as senior pastor of the Florida mega church that she and her now ex-husband founded nearly two decades ago.

On Sunday, White was expected to officially mark the start of a new chapter in the history of Without Walls International Church, which once attracted 23,000 worshippers and was heralded as one of the nation’s fastest-growing congregations.

“It will be my first Sunday to officially preach and to minister to you as the mandate and the mantle that I’ve received for the great assignment for this city, for this ministry, and for our lives collectively as your new senior pastor,” White reported in an eBlast to the Tampa-based congregation.

I don't have a problem with someone getting a divorce in the essence of an extra-material affair. Like the one that happened in the case of Paula White, the affair was not her fault. What does the Bible declare about divorce? In this case, she had every biblical right to file the divorce papers. What does the Word of God say about remarriage?
