Remember This - Charles Spurgeon
"Remember this; or you may fall into error by fixing your minds so much upon the faith which is the channel of salvation as to forget the grace which is the fountain and source even of faith itself. Faith is the work of God's grace in us. No man comes to Me," says Jesus, "except the Father who sent Me draws him. . .Grace is the first and last moving cause of salvation; and faith, essential as it is, is only an important part of the machinery which grace employs. We are saved "through faith," but salvation is 'by grace.'"

Hey Bill....sam hoyle here...great site. Dennis Diener just linked me up.
Great to here from you Sam. Say hi to the family for me.. Thanks for stopping by :)
Lets keep in touch..
definitely will keep in touch. where are you attending church these days?
Right now we are in transition. We were at Calvary Chapel for about 4 years, but I resigned about 16 mo's ago. Due to doctrinal differences... :) It has been about 5 years of study for us to come to the conclusion that Reformed Doctrine is sound doctrine. There are churches of interest, but they are 1.5 to 2hrs away.. And that really makes it difficult to be an active part of the fellowship.. Right now we meet as a small group at home..
Wow. same story here. after being at Amazing Grace for 16 yrs, we were asked to resign due to my coming to reformed conclusions too. it's been quite a journey. i think Kenny Mattson, Shawn May & you and i ought to get together for dinner sometime and swap stories! it'd be fun! we are planning on visiting Okemos Christian Center this Sunday, Aug 5th, a charismatic reformed church...

we will likely be visiting several others around the state in the weeks ahead too.
there's also a new reformed church in Mt. Pleasant just starting up...Sovereign Grace Church.(no relationship with CJ Mahaney's group) so we may visit there.
Absolutly, we could get together. Just let me know and lets do it.. Also let me know what you come up with on the church visitations...
