New Postings Are Soon To Arrive
Due to the fact that my wonderful Father-In-Law "Thomas D. Griffore III" had been sick with cancer over the last five months and with his illness increasing over the last five weeks, I was not able to keep up with this blog. He has since gone home to be with the Lord. As I continue to ponder his life and faithfulness, I will leave this posting with a poem I wrote for his funeral.
On This Road Less Traveled
On this road less traveled, Christ has granted me
A life complete in purpose and fulfilled destiny
Repentace, denying self, daily cross
The gifts Christ's given me
On this road less traveled, His mercy's covered me
On this road less traveled, a bond slave I am to thee
For the one who's name is Jesus, Oh... the price He paid for me
A complete and perfect sacrifice, so I would be free
From the chains of sin and death, His righteous plan for me
On this road less traveled, His grace delivered me
On this road less traveled, the narrow road to thee
In my last and final hours, your face, Jesus, is all I see
I have fought the good fight, finished the race
The crown of righteousness awaits for me
On this road less traveled, my final sprint to thee
by his grace alone,
Bill

Hey Bro,
As I heard this poem read at the funeral, I wondered who might have wrote it. I knew it must have been someone who understood reformed doctrine. This poem speaks allot of truth.
Thanks for sharing it!

Hello Bill,
After reading your site, the commentary of your message, the love of your wife, the poem lovingly read by Erin that you created, my heart stirs to see Dad again. Lulu tells me that this is a blog site you created for the edification of the church and to a lost and dying world. Sadly, the church appears to be deteriorating at the same rate as the world. The words, be ye not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed....seem to have lost their value and effectiveness within the body of Christ. A part of me says quit, but thankfully the spirit in me is more willing than my flesh to reach the lost. Your message, heart, and the overall layout of this blog site is outstanding; world class Bill!!!! Go get 'em tiger!! Give my wonderful sister a big hug!! All my love and to God be The Glory!
David
Thanks for the great comments guys... David, great to hear from you, thanks for the encouragement :)
Yes, compromise, conforming to the world and lack of repentace is what has krept into these so called churches. Imagine if Jonathan Edwards was alive today preaching his sermon "Sinners In The Hands Of An Angry God". Referring to Deuteronomy 32:35. These churches today would want to kill him for preaching a hard core message of repentace. I can hear them saying, "Jonathan, you are judging people".
And the churches that would allow him to speak, would pay the financial price of more than half the people in their church leaving offended.
Man does not want to repent!!!! Yet, wants all of God's benifits!!!!!
